Client Ronald McDonald House of Durham
The new Ronald McDonald House of Durham is designed to give families of seriously ill children who travel from around the world to receive specialized care at Duke Children's Hospital a place to call "home" for up to a year at a time. This 40,000 square foot facility includes 55 total rooms, 28 of which are new multi-room suites. Once completed, it will be one of the largest Ronald McDonald Houses on the east coast, doubling the number of families served.
Our advance planning work with the Ronald McDonald House staff, board, and families produced a comprehensive yet accessible document that has guided design and operational decisions.
