Grand Opening for Fayetteville Technical Community College’s New General Classroom Building

Fayetteville Technical Community College celebrated the dedication and grand opening of its new General Classroom Building, a long anticipated addition to campus.

HH Architecture designed the 70,000-square-foot building in a way that reused the existing structure from a decommissioned Service Merchandise building. In addition to the reused structure, the design incorporated additional sustainable building features, including a rainwater collection system, a combined thermal and air barrier continuous insulation system, day-lighting, energy efficient lighting fixtures, and green flooring materials.

With state-of-the-art technologies, the General Classroom Building houses classrooms, faculty offices, conference rooms, computer labs, a multipurpose room, as well as the school’s bookstore and security offices.
